How Clean is your Room?

An Evening at Home
¿Que pasa mis amigos?

First, I want to start off by sending my condolences to everyone who had Virginia going to the ship in their bracket...#16 over a #1 by 20? Wow! That is nuts. A pick I definitely would've made. Other than that, I hope your brackets are still intact.

If I'm gonna be honest and real in these letter I must say that we've had a pretty slow week. We've had interviews with President and a visitor to the mission (which I'll talk about later) but work wise, it seems like nothing is going our way. First, Ana and Gustavo have kinda ghosted us. Last week they cancelled and this week was pretty much the same but a little worse. We haven't heard from them now since last Saturday. They just stopped responding. We tried dropping off some cookies we made on Friday and didn't get a text or a call after, let alone anyone opening the door when we knocked and dropped them off! Seriously bummer news, but we still have hope. And nothing new with Yesenia. We weren't able to meet with her at all this week because since last Friday she has been in and out of town helping family. We're still super stoked to work with her but just gotta get the ball rolling! But other than that, lots of finding and talking with people that we're hoping will actually go somewhere.

Now to our visitor. Elder Joaquin Costa of the Seventy came and toured the mission! He's an awesome guy. He's from Argentina (s/o to Nate Dog & the boys down there), convert to the church, and was just hilarious in his broken English. But his message was really awesome and covered a lot of topics that I needed to hear. A challenge he left with us was the same challenge President Nelson had given before: Study and read all the verses about Jesus Christ in the Topical Guide. It's pretty hefty but since trying to do one topic a day (three days and still going strong haha) I've already learned so much about our Savior. It's super sick! Check it out and mess around with it a little. It's definitely worth it!

As the meeting came to a close we thought we would headed home, change our clothes and get to work...psych! Sister Badger came up to me at the end of the meeting and told me that Elder Costa would be coming to visit our apartment! What!?! So of course we hurried home, cleaned our apartment up for a General Authority, and made everything look pretty. haha! When President Badger and Elder Costa got here it was just a crazy cool experience. We ended up literally just chillin' in our apartment all together just talking. With two men called by God, in our apartment, the spirit was there like punching you in the face. I was an incredible experience, one I will never forget.

Hope everything is going great! Take a peek at 1 Corinthians 12:31.
"But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way."
This scripture was shared by President Badger in our meeting and has a great message.
Always choose a more excellent way, the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Sending love from the IDMM...deficil es bueno
