What a crazy week! I'll cut to the chase cause there is a ton of stuff that I'm gonna try to squeeze in. First up is Jose and Susy! They were able to see the greatest miracle happen in their entire lives, behind the birth of their daughter, and I'll tell you why. Last week during the the lesson with Jose and Susy (the one I wrote about), we taught them how to fast and why we fast. We don't know why we did, it wasn't part of our lesson plan, it just came out. We told them to fast about Jose's job and what to do for the future. Fast forward to Monday, we get a text from them saying that Jose just got offered a new job guaranteed with weekend off. I was going nuts!! I could not believe it. We had our usual lesson the next day and we talked about what in the world happened. Their response was basically "we fasted and specifically asked God to make a way for us to join this Church." And bang. The very next day, Jose gets offered this job. YOU CANT MAKE THIS STUFF UP. Jose will be getting baptized on the 4th of May! Susy will then get baptized a couple weeks later. MIRACLES.

Staying on this hype train of Jose and Susy, near the end of our lesson on Wednesday, Susy's oldest son, Nixon, came and sat down with us. He had some big questions that he wanted to know about. You could totally tell that Susy had been working on him since day 1 about the Gospel. We set something up with Nixon for the next day to come back and answer his questions. We get there and this kid was actually genuine, not just a typical 17 year-old, Gen Z. The connection was real as we talked to him about our purpose, why we do this, the Restoration, baptism, and eternal families. He was bouncing off the walls cause he was so intrigued, impressed, and impacted. He had seen the change in his mom's life and just wanted to know how?! When we got down to the nitty gritty of it all, we told him if he really wanted this, he could be baptized with his mom, side by side, doing this together. And he was boutttttttt it. Eternal families baby.

One last crazy experience. Last week while on exchanges with Elder Richardson, we knocked into a guy named Rob. Immediately, Rob was intrigued and listened intently to everything we shared and invited us back over a couple days later. We had invited him to read the introduction of the Book of Mormon and the Plan of Salvation pamphlet we had left him. We get there and our man has an entire PAGE of questions to ask us about. He is easily one of the most educated person I've taught on my mission. He has religious books everywhere throughout his place, he knows the Bible, and he said because he is so grounded on the Bible, it makes trying out the Book of Mormon and putting it to the test a lot easier and less intimidating. As we talked through it all, everything was making sense to him. This weekend, he was even able to tune in and watch a little bit of General Conference! Stoked to start working with him.

BDAY S/O TO THE APRIL 5TH HOMIES, NATE & DOUGIE. THE REAL OG'S. Tiana and Max are still getting dunked on the 20th! Conference on the mission is always one of the best weekends..loved hearing President Nelson and Elder Holland laying down the law. 

And I've determined that IOWA IS actually HEAVEN, contrary to others opinions.
