What's up squad.

To sum up the week, let me quote our maintenance man: "Enjoy it out there fellas... It's like walking in a furnace today!" Such a true statement. The Iowa summer has arrived... It's been a pretty chill one so far, not hot or humid at all then bam, out of no where our dreams are shattered. It's been hovering close to 90-100 degrees and 80-90% humidity all day long. Perfect weather to do missionary work anddddd feel like you're taking a shower at the same time! #Pray4Snow

On Friday, we welcomed President and Sister Sturm to the mission! We went along with President and Sister Badger to the airport to greet them and get all their bags. President Sturm has the personality of just a big ol teddy bear. Just the nicest and sweetest man who is just so excited to be here and see all the missionaries. Sister Sturm reminds me a lot of mom. She will get stuff done!!! They are going to be so good for the mission. Before their mission, President Sturm was the head of religion up at BYU-I. He ever majored in the Old Testament at this Bible school he attended. Like who even does that??? Needless to say, this man knows his stuff... I'll be trying to soak it all in the last couple weeks. We'll hit the ground running with them and have fun zone conferences this week for them to introduce themselves to everyone.

As for work wise, we've been working really close with Elders Orme and Ostergaard and the people they are teaching. These two are studs. It's a blast to switch off with them every so often whenever they have lessons and go on mini exchanges. We had a fun lesson the other morning with a man named Yuong (pernounced Why-Young). He's from mainland China and found the Church through a coworker that introduced him to it all. He's brand new to Christianity so it's been way cool to see him learn, embrace a completely new religion and culture, and have a desire to find out for himself if it's true. Hoping to start getting him more comfortable with the idea of baptism and get him in the water!
